چکیده

Sentinel-1 observes the whole globe every 12 days (6 when both satellites were operational) and provides a wealth of data relevant to agriculture. Sugarcane cultivators could potentially benefit from these by using them assist operational management practices. However, first, thorough understanding is needed backscatter its behavior over sugarcane canopies. In this study, we aimed improve how responds yield variability waterlogging. order do so focused on an irrigated plantation in Xinavane, Mozambique. analysis presented, assessed different polarizations, their ratio, benchmarked against optical indices passive microwave observations seasons. With help large dataset, analyzed relates sucrose We found VV related stalk development, most important reservoir for accumulation. addition, season with reported waterlogging, radar showed delay crop development. Further presence water underneath canopy caused increase all polarizations cross ratio (CR). The results imply that contains information waterlogging under as well development stalk. By isolating quantifying impact backscatter, it will be possible further quantify identify simultaneously.

The Response of Morphological and Physiological Traits and Grain Yield of Corn to Planting Method and Sugarcane Residue Compost

In order to investigate the effect of planting method and sugarcane residue compost fertilizer on morphological and physiological traits and grain yield of corn, a field experiment using a split-plot arrangement was accomplished in a randomized complete block design with four replicates in Mian-Ab, Shooshtar, south-west Iran in summer 2018. Experimental factors included four planting methods (o...

Spatial variability of soil attributes and sugarcane yield in relation to topographic location

Soils submitted to the same management system in places with little variation of landscape, manifest differentiated spatial variability of their attributes and crop yield. The aim of this work was to investigate the correlation between spatial variability of the soil attributes and sugarcane yield as a result of soil topography. To achieve this objective, a test area of 42 ha located at the São...

Understanding the weather signal in national crop-yield variability: Weather-signal in crop-yield variability

Year-to-year variations in crop yields can have major impacts on the livelihoods of subsistence farmers and may trigger significant global price fluctuations, with severe consequences for people in developing countries. Fluctuations can be induced by weather conditions, management decisions, weeds, diseases, and pests. Although an explicit quantification and deeper understanding of weather-indu...
